It’s no easy task ensuring your roles stand out among the sea of never-ending job adverts out there. Often, there’s no time or budget to bring in outside resource, especially when the requirements can be so ad-hoc.

Whilst there are many options out there that help with branding and design, we are going to focus on one of our favourites - Canva.

Canva is loaded with thousands of professionally designed templates, images, and content ideas to help you get started. You can create social posts, logos, adverts, presentations, and a whole lot more.

You can easily add your own brand colours and share directly to social media without leaving the tool – winner.

Want to export in different formats? No problem. You can create PDFs, GIFs, and any image type you might need.

Like any platform, Canva offers pro and enterprise versions but we are really impressed with what is on offer with their free version – give it a go Picasso!

Buffer

Keeping prospective candidates engaged with your brand is key. But finding the time to keep up with social media posting to promote your roles is not always that easy.

We would recommend you look at a tool like Buffer that carries the load for you. With Buffer, you can access several key features: publishing, analytics and engagement.

Publishing within Buffer allows you to schedule social media posts for your job adverts and gives you a clear calendar view of your social media pipeline. Set aside a bit of time at the start of the month and you can have weeks of social content planned in, leaving you to focus on your hiring.

Knowing what works and what doesn’t gives you the power to make informed decisions. With the analytics feature in Buffer, you can see which posts, and at what day and time, delivered the best results.

Not every comment needs a response but missing an interaction with a candidate interested in applying for a role could be a killer. With the engagement feature, you can set trigger or flag phrases so you never miss a potential conversion.
