When we launched Stryve, it was important for us to build a better sort of business right from the start, so we pledged to be a B Corp and are now officially B Corp Pending! What is a Pending B Corp we hear you ask? Having a 'Pending' B Corp Status means we’re officially on the path to full B Corp Certification, labelled “The highest standard for socially responsible businesses”. The B Corp global community champions a culture of inclusivity, interdependence, transparency, support and continuous improvement.

B Corps are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. Becoming a certified B Corporation also means the company is legally required to consider all implications their business may have on workers, customers, community and the planet.

This is big news and boy, are we in good company. The B Corp community includes the likes of Ben & Jerrys, Patagonia, Danone, Innocent Drinks, over 2,700 other companies across the globe - all part of a larger movement for change, for business as a force for good.

What can Stryve do? Despite D&I sitting at the top of many company’s agendas today, research shows that the hiring process is impartial and unfair. We face the sad fact that unconscious racism, ageism, and sexism play a big role in who gets hired. With Stryve, we want to challenge bias in hiring and champion diverse and equitable hiring.
